During this e-learning activity, I have to post a summary of my topic
on Wiki. The process of signing up and getting use to it goes smoothly.

My Reflection
From this research, I find out that computer crime is a danger to
companies and considered by many companies as a biggest threat to them.

Some threats are:
- Trojan horse
- Phishing
- Denial of Service
- Spyware
- Identity Theft
- File Charing

Impact on Business
- Financial
- Reputation
- Creditability
- Loss of Revenue

These impacts will result in clients losing confidence and hence,
considering working with another company. Company will be in
financial crisis due to loss of revenue from customers.

Therefore, I can conclude that computer crimes is a big threat
to company. To prevent this threat, introducing security measures
is very important so as to detect threats and remove them.

It has been debated in the parliament and featured in BBC, Times etc...

4) Accuracy
The website focus on posts that is mainly for fun and
laughter and not much of accuracy to apply on the website.

5) Currency
The posts are all up-to-date. It has almost updates everyday.

6) Accessibility
The jokes and videos are made open for anybody. If someone wants
to post something, he/she has to register and become a member.

7) Presentation and Arrangement
The website looks presentable and organized. It makes use of
images to captures attention. The postings were arranged to make
locating of information easier. A search facility is available too.

8) Usability
It is easy to navigate around the website

9) Overall Quality
It definitely has certain quality in many areas. It relates on the
newest happenings in Singapore and present it in as an entertainment
to readers. The overall layout is simple but neat with the use
of readable fonts and good colour combinations.


In this lab lesson, we also do role play of different people. Our group has
been chosen to voice out our point of view as a Singaporeans to talkingcock.


My Reflection
As a Singaporean, I think talkingcock is a place for some entertainment
and readers shouldn't take the contents seriously. After doing so much
evaluation, I have a better understanding of the evaluation criteria
and know what it takes for a website to satisfy readers' needs.

KTO have overseas office in USA, Sydney, Dubai, Toronto, KL,
Singapore and London. With support from these overseas office,
I believe KTO is a recognized and held high reputation.

KTO is an official website for Korea. Information included is
accurate so as to give a tourists a guide at Korea.

5) Currency
The website stated as copyright 2008. Therefore, I can deduce
that it contains up-to-date information. The website is updated
frequently as there is a section "Korea Today".

6)Accessibility
Anyone can access to most of the tourists guide information on
the website but a membership is needed only when join the
travel agencies. KTO website let user select the language too.

7) Presentation and Arrangement
It uses frames, graphics and moving images to enhance the page.
Advertisements on the attractions of Korea is shown. The page has
easy to read text and also provides the ability to change the font
and background colour to individual preferences.


8) Usability
The website is easy to use and user friendly. The information is clearly
categorized and easy to navigate around to locate the required information.
Search facility is provided to allow easy searching of resource.

9) Overall Quality
The overall appearance of the website catches attention. The colours and
font used is appropriate and have graphics to catch attention. The
information is detailed and current. It will be a good guide to tourists.

My dream holiday destination: Korea

Seoul, capital of Korea is the heart of Korea's culture, education
as well as politics and economic. Its is a world-class city with
shopping district and historical sites. I choose Korea because:

2) Weather
There is four seasons in Korea. Unlike Singapore, it is summer
throughout the year. The best weathers I would choose to go
is autumn, spring or winter. The weather is either cooling
during autumn and spring or winter where it snows!!!

3) Foods
Have a taste of different types of food there which is authentic
instead of korean cuisine in Singapore.

My Reflection
For this e-learning activities, I learn how to evaluate on the
internet resources according to the 9 evaluation criteria. Applying to
the tourism resource I found, I think Presentation & Arrangement
is the most important criteria.

The reason is because if a website is able to catch readers attention,
this will let user continue reading on. Unlike if the overall arrangement,
colours and font used can hardly be seen, no matter how good the
content is, it will not captures attention.

With this, I will end my post for my dream holiday!!!

If I have $500, I would like to have a Canon Powershot TX1 camera.

Price: $459

Features: 7.1 megapixels point and shoot camera,
10x optical zoom, 1.8" LCD screen

I have been wanting to get this camera for some time.
I like the overall look of it which is like a camcorder and other
function like recording things into a movie mode.This
is definitely what I will go for if I have $500.
